Overview
Version 3.6 builds on all the features of version 3.5 but adds a new licensing system and a new Power BI datasource.
IMPORTANT
Before upgrading to version 3.6 please make sure you have contacted us for a new license which you will need to install to enable the datasources.
Breaking Change
This version has breaking changes which you will manually have to adjust for.
Please read the entry in the Breaking Changes section and perform the steps described in the description.
Breaking changes
- The Authentication Type Key Pair has been added to the Snowflake Datasource and is now the default option, as single factor password sign-ins are being deprecated by Snowflake. For more information, see Snowflake - Planning for the deprecation of single-factor password sign-ins.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue with MySql Datasource not working.
- PowerPoint reports no longer error if a MSO chart contains no data.
Improvements
- Updated various 3rd party components.
- Added a DownloadService to download files from the download cache. For more information, see Download Services, Save Content To Download Cache and How to use Save Content To Download Cache Action and the Download service (with example)?.
- Made some logging and error message improvements to support investigating certain types of issues.
- Added 3rd party Qlik Sense Extensions' support if the Extension has the prefix moveXM-chart-.
Known Issues
- If upgrading to this version for a version below 3.5x, the Datasources that were defined to use Custom Windows Account are set to Service Account after the upgrade. Please set it back to Custom Windows Account manually.
- There is a timeout with the Vizlib Pivot Table as Chart element when using it together with Qlik Sense November 2023 Patch 2 and higher and having more than 10 Vizlib charts in the same report.
- Need to manually restart Mail & Deploy if you set a custom callback URL for the Azure AD User Directory.
- M&D doesn't support html code in the Vizlib Pivot and Vizlib Table headers. It does support html code in the data values.
- The filters are not enforced when using the action Activate Datasource Book, which apply filters, and Filter Datasource Field. To enforce the filters, use only the action Filter Datasource Field.
