Overview
Version 3.6 builds on all the features of version 3.5 but adds a new licensing system and a new Power BI datasource.
IMPORTANT
Before upgrading to version 3.6 please make sure you have contacted us for a new license which you will need to install to enable the datasources.
Breaking Change
This version has breaking changes which you will manually have to adjust for.
Please read the entry in the Breaking Changes section and perform the steps described in the description.
Breaking changes
- Mail & Deploy now removes line breaks and section breaks that are included inside the Conditional Element when the condition is False. This could be a breaking change as the behavior changes when the condition is False. For more information, see Breaking Change 3.6.4 Conditional Element in Word Reports.
- The Print Content Action, which has been deprecated for some time, has now been removed.
- If the hypercube for a Qlik table returns an error code (e.g. 19 for 'out of memory') the report generation will now fail instead of including an empty table.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue when using the property Send E-Mail Action > E-Mail Message Attachment Specification > Condition. When the condition was set to false, Mail & Deploy was anyway expecting an existing valid Report. Now Mail & Deploy ignores the Report when the condition is false and therefore the Task continues accordingly without throwing an Exception.
- Fixed and enhanced how conditions work in MS Word.
- Fixed a bug that made external links disappear in Excel reports.
Improvements
- It possible to use Conditional Elements in Tables in Word Reports to remove undesired rows. For more information, see How to use the Conditional element in a Table in a Word Report?.
- Improved rendering of Layout Containers and the children objects.
- Added Code Page support for FTP uploads.
- Various updates of 3rd party library versions.
Known Issues
- If upgrading to this version for a version below 3.5x, the Datasources that were defined to use Custom Windows Account are set to Service Account after the upgrade. Please set it back to Custom Windows Account manually.
- There is a timeout with the Vizlib Pivot Table as Chart element when using it together with Qlik Sense November 2023 Patch 2 and higher and having more than 10 Vizlib charts in the same report.
- Need to manually restart Mail & Deploy if you set a custom callback URL for the Azure AD User Directory.
- M&D doesn't support html code in the Vizlib Pivot and Vizlib Table headers. It does support html code in the data values.
- The filters are not enforced when using the action Activate Datasource Book, which apply filters, and Filter Datasource Field. To enforce the filters, use only the action Filter Datasource Field.
