    General

    Mail & Deploy can be updated by downloading a new version of Mail & Deploy Setup.exe.

    WARNING

    Before the installer updates Mail & Deploy, the Server will be stopped (and restarted after the update has completed); this means that all executions running at the time of the update will be immediately stopped. It is therefore recommended to perform the update when no execution is running.

    Space requirement

    Attention: Consider the space requirement before performing an upgrade

    1. Mail & Deploy will create a backup of the repository before the upgrade and it will store it in C:\Mail & Deploy_folder\Data\Backups.
    2. During the upgrade the internal repository is optimized, this process needs at least the size of the repository as extra space.
      For example, if the Repository's size is 5Gb, the space requirement is 10Gb. You can find the repository in this location: C:\Mail & Deploy_folder\Data\Repository.db

    Interactive Update

    You can interactively update Mail & Deploy by double-clicking Mail & Deploy Setup.exe; then select Update Mail & Deploy and click Next.

    Silent Update

    You can silently update Mail & Deploy by running Mail & Deploy Setup.exe with command-line arguments.

    The syntax for the command-line is:

    Mail & Deploy Silent Setup

    "Mail & Deploy Setup.exe" silent mode="update"
