Overview
Version 3.6 builds on all the features of version 3.5 but adds a new licensing system and a new Power BI datasource.
IMPORTANT
Before upgrading to version 3.6 please make sure you have contacted us for a new license which you will need to install to enable the datasources.
Breaking Change
This version has breaking changes which you will manually have to adjust for.
Please read the entry in the Breaking Changes section and perform the steps described in the description.
Breaking changes
- Deployments' profiles (source server) now require an access key of an API or Admin user from the target server. For more information, see Deployment Settings.
Bug Fixes
- Added in some missing translations (related to global data table styles).
- Designer Launcher executable now digitally signed.
- Fixed an issue when adding pivot tables with cero dimensions from a QlikView Datasource. Now M&D behaves consistently like when exporting the table to Excel from QlikView: it will export the pivot table with the first column empty.
- Fixed an issue when using the Filter Dynamic Datasource fields Action. After the action, now all the fields filters in the source datasource are removed.
- Fixed an issue when creating a native Excel pivot table, now the header's background color formatting is respected.
- Fixed an issue when creating a Report that includes a Qlik table with dimension(s) with the following properties Representation: Link, Link setting: Add Label and the Link label: empty. Now instead of a blank cell with a hidden link, the Link (URL) will be displayed.
Improvements

- Removed 2GB limit on max array size.
- Added option to Upload Content To SharePoint Action to allow Site ID to be set using an Expression. This allows the Sites.Selected permission to be used.
- Added IsFirstRepeatedCrossProduct and IsLastRepeatedCrossProduct expressions. For more information, see IsFirstRepeatedCrossProduct and IsLastRepeatedCrossProduct.
- An index has been added to the repository to improve UI experience.
- The emails that are added as expression are now trimmed from leading and trailing blank spaces.
Known Issues
- If upgrading to this version for a version below 3.5x, the Datasources that were defined to use Custom Windows Account are set to Service Account after the upgrade. Please set it back to Custom Windows Account manually.
- There is a timeout with the Vizlib Pivot Table as Chart element when using it together with Qlik Sense November 2023 Patch 2 and higher and having more than 10 Vizlib charts in the same report.
- Need to manually restart Mail & Deploy if you set a custom callback URL for the Azure AD User Directory.
- M&D doesn't support html code in the Vizlib Pivot and Vizlib Table headers. It does support html code in the data values.
- The filters are not enforced when using the action Activate Datasource Book, which apply filters, and Filter Datasource Field. To enforce the filters, use only the action Filter Datasource Field.
