SMTP E-Mail Servers

General
This type of E-Mail Server is based on the SMTP protocol.
Properties
This type of e-mail server has the following properties:
Name | Description |
---|---|
Name | The name of the e-mail server. |
Sender Address | The sender e-mail address to use when sending e-mails through the e-mail server. |
Reply-To Address | The e-mail address to which replies by recipients of e-mails send through the e-mail server shall be sent. |
Host | The host name or IP address of the SMTP server. |
Port | The port of the SMTP server. |
Security Protocol | The security protocol to use when connecting to the SMTP server. |
Use Credentials | If you enable this option you can specify username and password (see below) to use for authentication against the SMTP server. If you disable this option, the SMTP server either needs to accept anonymous connections or the Service Account of Mail & Deploy needs to have access to the SMTP through windows authentication. |
Type | The type of credentials to use when authenticating against the SMTP server. This property is only applicable if Use Credentials is enabled. |
Username | The username to use when authenticating against the SMTP server. This property is only applicable if Use Credentials is enabled. |
Password | The password to use when authenticating against the SMTP server. This property is only applicable if Use Credentials is enabled. |
Maximum Number Of Retries | The maximum number of retries to perform if sending an e-mail fails. |
Delay Between Retries | The delay between two retries if sending an e-mail fails. |
Test Settings
You can test the configured SMTP server by clicking the Send Test E-Mail button; you will be prompted to enter an e-mail address to send the test e-mail to.
Mail & Deploy SaaS instances and SMTP Servers
Amazon Web Services block port 25. Please use a SMTP server that uses other ports.
