    General

    This type of datasource can be used to connect to an app hosted by an on-premise Qlik Sense installation. Qlik Sense can either be installed on the same machine as Mail & Deploy or another machine that can be reached through the network.

    Properties

    This type of datasource has the following properties:

    General

    Name
    		Description
    NameThe name of this datasource. This does not have to be the name of the Qlik Sense app.
    HostThe host name or IP address of the server that hosts Qlik Sense.
    PortThe port on which Qlik Sense is listening. Usually the port is 443 for HTTPS connections and 80 for HTTP connections.
    ProtocolThe protocol to use to connect to Qlik Sense.
    Virtual Proxy PathThe path of the virtual proxy to connect to. You can leave this property empty to connect to the default virtual proxy.
    Authentication TypeService Account, Custom Windows Account, Impersonation (Section Access)
    Authentication TypeService Account
    Mail & Deploy will connect to Qlik Sense using the Mail & Deploy Service Account for authentication.
    Authentication TypeCustom Windows Account
    Mail & Deploy will connect to Qlik Sense using custom credentials to authenticate.
    TypeWindows
    UsernameThe account name of the user to use to authenticate with Qlik Sense. This property is only applicable if Use Credentials is enabled.
    PasswordThe password of the user to use to authenticate with Qlik Sense. This property is only applicable if Use Credentials is enabled.
    Authentication TypeImpersonation (Section Access)
    Mail & Deploy will connect to Qlik Sense using JWT Authentication.
    JWT Private Key PEMPrivate Key. For example, C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Repository\Exported Certificates.Local Certificates\server_key.pem
    Default User DirectoryThe User's Directory to be used as default when connecting to Qlik Sense.
    Default User IdThe User's Id to be used as default when connecting to Qlik Sense.
    AppThe app of this datasource. You can click the  button when you entered a Host, Port, Protocol, and Virtual Proxy Path to populate the field with all available apps.

    		Description
    Set Filter Before Rebuilding CacheWhen enabled a filter can be set before the cache of the datasource (see Datasources is rebuilt. This can help speeding up the cache rebuilding process, especially for very large or complex data models.
    Filter Field NameThe name of the field to filter before rebuilding the cache. This property is only applicable if Set Filter Before Rebuilding Cache is enabled.
    Filter ValueAn Expression that returns the value to filter to before rebuilding the cache. This property is only applicable if Set Filter Before Rebuilding Cache is enabled.
    Default ThemeThe identification of the default Theme to be activated in the datasource.
    Preload AppWhen enabled, Mail & Deploy will preload all visualizations and sheets within the app when connecting to the app. This may take a bit of time but speeds up any communication with the app after the preload has completed. If you use the datasource to create large reports and the app has a complex data structure, preloading the app may speed up the total execution time. If you only export small parts of the app, preloading the app may actually be slower than communicating with the app without preloading.
