    General

    The service account is the windows account that runs the windows service of Mail & Deploy Server.

    WARNING

    If you need to change the credentials of the Service Account, you should not do that in the services management console of the operating system; instead you should do it using by changing the Server Settings.

    Requirements

    The service account needs to fulfill the following requirements:

    • It needs to be local administrator on the computer that runs the Server and is required to have the right to run a Windows service.
    • If you want to use Mail & Deploy with QlikView documents, a local QlikView Desktop client must be installed and the service account needs to have a valid license (Personal Edition is not supported).
    • If you want to use Mail & Deploy with Qlik Sense Apps, the Service Account requires at least an Analyzer license for that instance of Qlik Sense. It should be a dedicated license.
    • Any additional permission required by the specific usage of Mail & Deploy (e.g. if you want to use Mail & Deploy to write report documents to a network share, the service account needs to have write permissions for that network share).

    The service user needs to be provided during the Installation and can later be changed in Settings -> Server in Mail & Deploy's Management Console.
